Just received this photo today (Thanks JC!).If I understand things correctly (not 100% certain), scroll down to the photo in the post below for a shot of how the flat land across the water in this 1980 shot, looked in 2005.
Scooterboy tells me a few more buildings have popped up since I took the shot below in 05.
